Great local place for creative burgers, dinner and shakes. Try the "Irrigator With Some Heat". Lots of ice cream choices. Fresh pie!!! Listen to the background hum of local discussion. Its definitely worth stopping. One discussion I overheard was about investment portfolio aggression. Yelp has the wrong address this is actually on 8th street. I submitted a request to have that corrected.

We stopped as a church work team on our way to Montana. Friendly and fast service for a group of 10. We had hamburgers, soup, salads, chicken fingers and steak. All were pleased with their entrees and finished with delicious pie and sundaes. Worth every calorie!

This is an old-school, small-town cafe - in the best sense of the definition. When we walked in, we immediately noticed the 'big coffee table' - that front-and-center spot where the locals gather to drink coffee and talk crowd prices. It contained a handwritten sign about Hazel's visitation - a charming reminder that little notes posted in the town hang-out are still used to communicate important happenings.
Other cool details: a hanging lamp made out of a cowboy hat and the type of well-worn, open kitchen that looks like it has cranked out a million delicious patty melts in its lifetime.
My stepson ordered beef tips and raves they are the best he's ever eaten - lightly breaded and crunchy outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender in the center. My hubby described the Simply Sourdough sandwich as 'simply wonderful.' It contained local beef topped with cheese, bacon and BBQ sauce atop homemade sour dough bread. Both raved about the homemade onion rings dunked in REAL buttermilk ranch dressing! I had cheddar nuggets and a grilled ham and cheese. Both are seemingly simple items, but were perfectly executed - golden-brown, non-greasy, with tender ham and perfectly melted Swiss and American cheese. Chris ordered a strawberry shake to go and reported that it was thick, delicious and tasted like fresh berries.
Overall, a great, little eatery with unpretentious decor, lots of charm and friendly, competent help. Prices are decent too. Don't bypass this one! -

Visited on 18 NOV. Great small town diner and a good place to stop in after a morning of hunting. Lots of other hunters to talk to and compare notes. Very family friendly. Food and service are very good with daily specials. The burgers, fries and onion rings are particularly good. They have a small ice cream station and make very good malts, shakes, and sundaes. There is also a wide selection of homemade pies. If you're passing through and looking for a small town diner experience this is a must stop.

The Blue Line Diner is by far my favorite restaurant in town! A must visit while in the area. The service is personable and friendly, offering friendly smiles to all who visit. They offered a diverse menu of local favorites that you can't miss, like steak and steak salad. And pie.
